The oldest-established fine arts gallery in Greece still in operation, Galerie Zygos was founded in 1956 by art journalist and fine arts connoisseur Frantzis Frantzeskakis and his wife Catherine, the publishers of "Zygos" art magazine (1955-1982).

Under the direction of Ion Frantzeskakis, the founders' son, Galerie Zygos continues to search for and promote established -but also upcoming- contemporary artists to the Greek and international art-loving public.
