Galerie Zygos

Yannis Koutsouris was born in Aliartos, Viotia, in 1944. He studied at the A.T.I. (Doxiades) Institute, under A. Tassos, A. Asteriadis, I. Dekoulakos, G. Georgiadis and St. Lydakis. During the same period he had a three-year apprenticeship as an assistant to and student of Spyros Vassileiou. Also during his studies and until the end of the 60s he focused on painting and comics drawing. He also illustrated children's books while his main activity for about 30 years was the creation of animation films with production companies "Kounoupi" and "Quak". Since 2000 he has devoted himself exclusively to painting and sculpture. He is a member of the Greek Chamber of the Arts since 1973.
